Retirement Home - Kirkjuhvoll

Kirkjuhvoll Nursing Home, founded by the esteemed residents of Rangárþing eystra, commenced operations on March 1, 1985. The initial phase of the facility was inaugurated in 1989, and in 2018, a new extension was added, featuring 12 rooms, a spacious dining area, enhanced facilities for our dedicated staff, and more.

All residents at Kirkjuhvoll reside in single-family homes, either in individual rooms or small apartments. Every room/apartment is equipped with an emergency button, telephone connection, and TV facilities. Our commitment is to provide personalized services, ensuring that each resident and their family are treated with utmost respect. We strive to foster independence, activity, joy, and dignity throughout their lives.

As of now, Kirkjuhvoll is home to 32 residents, comprising 31 nursing rooms and 1 residential room.
