Aldan Kindergarten, comprising eight classrooms, is situated in Hvolsvelli within a modern facility inaugurated in August 2023.

The kindergarten is open from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., offering placements of 4 to 8.5 hours. If needed, extra hours can be purchased, but this is usually only for exceptional situations, not as a regular arrangement.

If a child lives 10-20 km away, they can attend the preschool three days a week and pay accordingly.

Parents are kindly asked to stick to the agreed-upon schedule.

The kindergarten year is divided into three parts:

  1. Summer Semester: June 1 – August 31.
  2. Autumn Term: September 1 – December 31.
  3. Spring Semester: January 1 – May 31.

Aldan´s educational policy

Aldan's educational philosophy is rooted in the constructivist ideology. Our approach focuses on play, exploratory methods, and exploratory play, forming the foundation of all our educational activities.
